HOW DO I GET THERE

We love Wokefield Park where NSConference is held and the fact it is in the middle of nowhere and the attendees cannot escape help to make NSConference what it is. It does however make getting there a little more difficult than maybe some other conference centres but we will do our best to make it as painless as possible for you.

The nearest and most convenient airport is London Heathrow (36 Miles).

From Heathrow you could get a train to Reading or Mortimer, via Paddington. Tickets & prices can be found here. (See the rail section below for more details.) Alternatively you can use RAILAIR to get a bus to Reading Station then get a train to Mortimer. Then of course you could hire a car and drive. It will take you approximately 30-40 minutes. (Use the M4 route described below.)

READING STATION

Reading Station is 7 miles from Wokefield Park. There is a taxi rank at Reading Station.

MORTIMER STATION

Trains from Reading connect with Mortimer Station (5 minutes by car from Wokefield Park) about every 30 minutes but there is no taxi rank at Mortimer Station. However if you let us know which train you are coming in on we might be able to pick you up from Mortimer station or you can so call main reception on 0118 933 4000 and they will order a taxi for you.

A train fare from Reading to Mortimer is about £3.60 for a single and £7.60 for a return

The only real coach service into Reading from outside is RAILAIR which runs from Heathrow to Reading Station.

If you want to get a bus from Reading, there is an occasional service to Mortimer Station. You can find a time table here If you let us know what time you are coming in we might be able pick you up from Mortimer station or you can so call main reception at Wokefield Park on 0118 933 4000 and they will order a taxi for you.

Exit the M4 at Junction 11
Exit at junction 11 signposted Basingstoke. Keep in right hand lane, through the first set of traffic lights. At second set of traffic lights, turn right - signposted Grazeley & Mortimer. After approx 2.5 miles and a sharp right hand bend over a railway bridge, the entrance to Wokefield Park can be seen on the right hand side.

Exit the M3 at Junction 5
Follow signs for Hook and Reading onto the A30. At next roundabout take B3349 for Reading. Continue following signs for Reading. Join A33. At roundabout before M4 turn left to Grazeley & Mortimer. After approx 2.5 miles and a sharp right hand bend over a railway bridge the entrance to Wokefield Park can be seen on the right hand side.
